  • Overview

    TLC Engineering for Architecture is a dynamic and growing National Engineering firm seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer for our Cocoa, Florida office.

    Responsibilities

    • Electrical design for a diverse range of commercial buildings (hospitality, airports, amusement park, large retail, multi-use, K-12, sports arenas and performing art centers, etc).
    • Assist in preparing design budgets, marketing proposals and cost estimates.
    • Prepare load calculations, select equipment, layout electrical systems using AutoCad or Revit.
    • Coordinate with architect, owner-client and other disciplines on lighting, power and low voltage systems.
    • Visits construction site to review, monitor, and report progress and perform other construction administration duties, such as shop drawing review, attend construction site meetings, review RFI’s, prepare ASI’s, PR’s, prepare status reports, per the contract documents.

    Qualifications

    • 6+ years of experience in similar MEP, Consulting or architectural engineering firm
    • BSEE, BSAE relevant industry experience 
    • Knowledge of electrical design for commercial buildings
    • PE license preferred
    • Previous experience with project management and general understanding of other disciplines besides electrical engineering
